BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: Gregg DeGroat / I was born in Springfield (currently living in Dayton), Ohio in 1955. My father was an artist, and some of my earliest memories are of him teaching me how to draw. I’m a divorced father of 3 wonderful, talented and fearless daughters, all of whom I’m immensely proud. Currently retired from a 27-year career as a newspaper graphic artist/illustrator, I’m pursuing my passion as a fine artist. I want to artistically express myself for the world to see and judge.
