Each May the American Art Awards organization selects the 25 Best Galleries and Museums in America, then in autumn these revered art institutions vote on online art to decide the world’s best contemporary artists.

America’s Best Galleries & Museums scored almost 2,000 works in 50 categories from 64 countries.

Winners in Category 35 are from ITALY, USA, CHINA, CANADA, GERMANY & AUSTRALIA.

BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: Originally from Giovinazzo, Italy, where he was born in 1967, Antonio Amoia graduated in decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari in 1991. After a parenthesis of 11 years spent in the province of Macerata, where he obtained a three-year degree in cultural heritage with an archaeological focus working for several years in the sector, he moved to Milan in 2004.

He has participated in numerous reviews and competitions, obtaining various awards such as 2nd place in the ‘Graphics’ section on the occasion of the XII International Festival of Contemporary Art in Sanremo (2004), the 1st prize for graphics at the XXXII edition of the Competition International Painting and Graphics “Epiphany 2005” at the Eustachi gallery in Milan, the gold medal at the XXVI Graphic Competition of the Cesare Frigerio Cultural Group in Corsico. He was also semifinalist in the 2019 edition of the Mondadori Art Prize with the work “Towards the hermitage” in the ‘Graphics’ section.
It was also reviewed in number 54 of the Mondadori Modern Art Catalog, in the catalog “L’Elite — Selezione Arte Italiana” in 2004, 2006, 2016 and 2017, in the magazine “Boè — Periodico of the Centro Diffusione Arte in Palermo” and on the “International Encyclopedic Dictionary of Modern and Contemporary Art 2004/2005 — Alba editrice”. www.antonioamoia.it
