20 of USA’s Best Galleries & Museums vote in the AMERICAN ART AWARDS, arguably the most prestigious online art competition. In 2022, painters, sketchers, digital artists, photographers and sculptors from 69 countries submitted JPEGs for the 50 categories — to win gallery affiliation, career launch, high scores, great press and/or $5,000 in prizes.

1st Place Bio: Marcel Mussely
Marcel Mussely is living and painting in Longueuil, Québec, Canada since 1973. With passion and great respect for the beauty of nature, he sketches on the spot to observe and capture the light and atmospheric conditions, which will be employed in his studio for the elaboration of his paintings.
His personal research led him to refine his methods with oil while exploring watercolor and acrylic.
His work testifies both to a great technical mastery of drawing and composition recognized by his peers as well as by the artistic institutions.
Marcel Mussely has numerous solo and group exhibitions under his belt mainly in Canada, but his paintings have been presented in Belgium, Spain, France and Italy.
His work was many times awarded and he is recognized as a Grand maître en beaux-arts and Ambassadeur international by the International Academy of Fine Arts of Québec (AIBAQ) and appointed Officier Académicien by the Mondial Art Academia (MAA).
