BIO of 1st Place winner Yvonne Praeger

Nature teaches us so much, you just have to look!“

This motto shapes the works of Yvonne Praeger, who was born in Essen in 1973. The artist, trained in graphics, design and communications, discovered her passion for painting at an early age.

After moving to Switzerland in 2008, Yvonne Praeger immersed herself passionately and intensively in oil painting at the studio of Mireille Desroches (Romandie CH). Her artistic pursuit deepened when she settled in Switzerland and began studying contemporary art at the Freie Kunstakademie in Überlingen.

Since 2020, she has been working as a freelance artist, drawing most of her inspiration from nature. Her large-format works capture the vibrancy and beauty of nature while focusing on the diversity of natural color nuances.

With her passion for realistic painting, she explores the intricate details of her subjects and has developed a keen sense of light and shadows, enabling her to create expressive, three-dimensional works that leaves no room for speculations.

Yvonne Praeger`s artistic journey is a deep exploration of various media and techniques. Her dedication to capturing the beauty of nature is reflected in each of her works, gaining international recognition an earning numerous art awards. Through her expressive paintings, the artist aims to share her passion for small and great wonders of nature with others, inspiring an appreciation for its vibrancy and beauty, as well as its transience. https://yvonnepraeger.com
