Each May the American Art Awards organization selects the 25 Best Galleries and Museums in America, then in autumn these revered art institutions vote on online art to decide the world’s best contemporary artists.

America’s Best Galleries & Museums scored almost 2,000 works in 50 categories from 64 countries.

Winners in this category are from USA, LITHUANIA, CHINA, RUSSIA, ITALY & CANADA.

BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: Megan Seiter is an American artist specializing in colored pencil still life drawings.

Originally from Rhode Island, she received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, and in 2009 moved to California to pursue her career as an artist.

Megan’s work is distinguished by her attention to fine detail and nuance in color. She works with wax-based and oil-based colored pencils, building layers of color that add depth and luminosity to her works. Each still life drawing reflects her love for color, texture, and subtle value shifts.
