World’s Best Figure Impressionists: ZHAO, BALADI, GHETIU, TRCKA, JAMES, ROSSOUW, TANG, ISOKÄÄNTÄ, KUNYUAN, BECKHAM, ZHANG/ 2022 AMERICAN ART AWARDS Winners
20 of USA’s Best Galleries & Museums vote in the AMERICAN ART AWARDS, arguably the most prestigious online art competition. In 2022, painters, sketchers, digital artists, photographers and sculptors from 69 countries submitted JPEGs for the 50 categories — to win gallery affiliation, career launch, high scores, great press and/or $5,000 in prizes.
Here are the winners in CATEGORY 21, IMPRESSIONISM — FIGURE.
1st Place Bio: Shicheng Zhao
A figurative painter from Dalian, China, he earned his BFA Degree in Mural from China Academy of Art and his MFA Degree in Painting from New York Academy of Art. Shicheng Zhao combines eastern and western elements, and presents contemporary subjects with traditional aesthetic and skills in a metaphorical and narrative way. His Chinese mural paintings were published in China and his oil painting won the Best in Show Platinum Award of Figurative 2022 International Juried Painting Competition.
