Artists from 72 countries competed in the 2023 AMERICAN ART AWARDS. BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: Kimin Kang
Current Senior(12th grade) at Northern Valley Regional highschool at Old Tappan. She started art in Sophomore year of high school and continued her passion for art throughout school courses. She moved from South Korea in third grade, and has won sixth place for Futurism last year for the American Art Awards.
She hopes to create art in an efforts to translate those thoughts and feelings into a visual story, promoting empathy and understanding of each special and human experience. She also likes capturing small moments of life, appreciating.
She is now planning to major in Fine Arts and minor in psychology for Art Therapy in a Graduate program in the future.
