Artists from 72 countries competed in the 2023 AMERICAN ART AWARDS. Twenty of the most revered galleries in the USA were sent around 2,000 online images to score in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital and photography. The 300+ winning works, 1st to 6th Place (and ties) in all 50 categories, can be seen in this series of articles.

BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: Zhu Junhe

Born in Fujian Province in 1978, he graduated from the professional advanced study class of the Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University. He is a member of the French Artists Association, a member of the American Portrait Association, a national first-class artist, and has won many foreign oil painting awards.

2007: his oil painting “Pan” participated in the Olympic Chinese Sons and Daughters Painting Competition and won.

2009: won the silver award of the Youth Group in the 3rd “China Shen Yun Cup” Chinese Art- Calligraphy Competition, and won the title of “Elite Chinese calligraphy and painting Art among Chinese”; won the bronze award of Gardener Group in the 7th National Teachers and Students Excellent Art Works selection activity. Won 1st Prize in the National Teacher Art Calligraphy Photography Competition.

2010: was selected for the Chinese Art Exhibition of Shanghai World Expo.”

2011: won 2nd Prize in the International Art Salon Exhibition of Louvre, France.

2014: the special film “Zhu Junhe’s Artistic Life” was recorded by Beijing Fangshan TV Station. Won gold medal at the Louvre International Art Exhibition in France.

2017: won the 2nd and 5th prize of the American Art Awards. Won the Memorial Award of the American League of Professional Artists. Won the Excellence in Art Award of the National Oil Acrylic Painting Society of the United States. Won the American Artist Magazine Dazhai Honor Award, competition, and won the Excellence Award. (One grand prize, five excellence awards)

2018: the work “Contemplative Man” was exhibited at the lAACC Pablo Serrano Gallery, Serrano, Spain, from May30 to June 17, and at the MEAM Gallery, Barcelona, Spain, from June 21 to July 29. Won the Outstanding Artist Wood Award of the American Oil Painting and Acrylic Painting Association.

2019: won the French Grand Palais 134 Comparison Salon International Art exhibition / Award of the Tenth Temple International Competition.

2020: won Titian Painting Competition excellence Award

2021" won World in the Pupil / International Contemporary Art Best Work Award, held a solo exhibition in Fuzhou, and his works entered the world’s top 12 in the French Circle Art Foundation Competition. Won the Excellence Award of Swiss Art d Grand Prix.

2022: won the Genius Award of the Third Temple International Portrait Competition. Won the honorary award of the fourth International Jiao Painting, Sculpture and Digital Art Comprehensive Art Competition. Won the honorary award of 2022 Swiss Art Open. Won American Portrait Society International Art Competition / Outstanding Artist Award.

2023: won the Swiss Art Exhibition Excellence Award. Won 3rd Prize in Belgian international FKVA competition. Won the American Acrylic Painting Association. Won Oil Painting Association competition portrait best work award and won the 7th International Portrait Competition Genius Award。
