World’s Best Abstract Digital Artists: MURPHY, KEVICH, KIM, RIVAS, STECKER, BYARD, BYUN, LAVENDAR, GAVIDIA, GLANDARIUS, FORTIN / 2022 AMERICAN ART AWARDS Winners
20 of USA’s Best Galleries & Museums vote in the AMERICAN ART AWARDS, arguably the most prestigious online art competition. In 2022, painters, sketchers, digital artists, photographers and sculptors from 69 countries submitted JPEGs for the 50 categories — to win gallery affiliation, career launch, high scores, great press and/or $5,000 in prizes.
Here are the winners in CATEGORY 48, DIGITAL — NONREPRESENTATIONAL
1st Place Bio: EARLE MURPHY III
After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in painting, Earle Murphy moved to the west coast in 1976. Over the years his painting eventually gave way to digital artwork. Along the way, he had many different jobs; from cab driver to a model maker doing miniatures and special effects on The Right Stuff, Top Gun, and the Gumby TV Show. Somehow, Earle wound up as a federal employee doing spatial data management until he retired.
In general, he works with images (his own photographs and art as well as found images) altering the resulting digital art to various degrees. His creations combine aspects of Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Expression, and are the unification all the “isms” within the known world of Art. By exploring line, color, composition, and space, he produces works that are both playful, intricate, and bewildering. http://earle-murphy.pixels.com
1st Place Bio: ANASTACIA KEVICH
I’m a self-taught contemporary artist with an economic education & woman-entrepreneur experience.
I am creating my works is acrylic abstract paintings on canvas in fluid pouring technique. Some of my work I modify and turn into objects of digital art and exhibit in the form of NFT.
My first acquaintance with painting happened at the age of 6. My grandfather took me to art school & I remember the moment when we were taught to draw with a brush first time, but at the same time our desires were not limited. And I started drawing with my fingers and got an interesting result. The teacher was surprised that I came up with such an idea. My artworks were chosen to represent our school at the exhibition. I have always been interested in a non-standard approach & this is my way in art.
As I got older, in my school, I entered the class with an aesthetic bias. And we had lessons where we studied painting and classical music. But after university I chose the profession guided by my mind, the financial sphere.
It was an interesting way, I love my profession but a year ago I realized that I wanted to do where my soul is and I started studying modern drawing methods and found something that expresses my feelings in the best way. All this time, almost every day, I tried and improved my skills in search of a beautiful drawing result. And today I can say that I have found my style and it is worthy of attention. https://linktr.ee/kevich
