Artists from 79 countries competed in the 2023 WORLD ART AWARDS where 20 of the most revered galleries in the world were sent online images to score in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital and photography.

BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: The French artist Aldéhy began his career as a painter in 1975 in the South Pacific (Vanuatu). Back from the Amazon after spending 5 years in an isolated village in the N’Djouka region from 2013 to 2018, he set up his studio in Soustons in the Landes. His field is painting and drawing, a mystical, figurative, narrative and symbolic painting. The particularity of Aldéhy is to create thematic exhibitions.

1st Place Bio: Hicham Husain Takache.

1960: Canadian Lebanese Artist, self-taught, presently lives with his family in Nabatieh, Lebanon.

Received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University in 1982, attended night classes at Ontario University of Arts in Toronto for four years, then in 2006 he moved to Lebanon.

Hicham Takache is an artist who displays a unique sensitivity and enthusiasm in his work which demonstrates the artistic adroitness inherited from Nabatieh, a quaint mountain town in South Lebanon that inspired many local artists.

Hicham’s paintings have been exhibited in Lebanon, Toronto, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Kansas City and Montreal.
He continues to perpetuate the magnificent tradition of classic art from his studio, the art that links the present to the past and invokes in us a sense of mystery and splendor.

In Lebanon Hicham presented his art in two solo exhibits (2008 & 2013) and he organized many annual group exhibitions starting 2015 onwards.
