BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: HAN SHUAI

Graduated from the Art Department of East China Normal University in 1993. Founded and operated POLISH Design Studio from 1994 to 2009. Began working as a freelance artist in 2010. Works are collected by the U.S. Consulate General in China, U.S., U.K., Taiwan, China and other institutions and individuals. BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: GIORGOS GEORGIOU

Giorgos Georgiou is a contemporary artist, currently based on the beautiful island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean. Born in London in the once home of famous British Impressionist artist Walter Sickert he has been honing his artistic talent for many years. Painting in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolours and pastels, he developed a number of unique techniques to use in his paintings, which are mainly figurative and sensual erotic works. His inspiration, motivation and passion is the love and desire to portray the true beauty and magnificence of the female form in all its glory with his unique technique (in both colour and monochrome).

Attained a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts/Sculpture and spent many months in the Paris studio of Claude Pissaro (the great, great grandson of Camille Pissarro), where he mastered the use of pastels and oils.
