The WORLD ART AWARDS winners in CATEGORY 9: CUBISM live in USA, IRAN, INDIA, DENMARK, BELARUS, POLAND, BRAZIL & UK.

Artists from 79 countries competed in the 2023 WORLD ART AWARDS where 20 of the most revered galleries in the world were sent online images to score in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital and photography.

BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: JOYCE CAMPBELL

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. From my early years, although I was formally trained on multiple musical instruments, art was more of a hobby. I would give my paintings to friends who admired them. Every now and then someone would admire one enough to pay me for it.

After college, my husband’s work took us to Georgia where we now have a farm on which I raise Peacocks and Turkeys. I became intrigued with digital art when my husband gave me an iPad one Christmas. Although I am an eclectic artist, I have recently been spending a lot of time in the cubist realm. Prior to COVID, I had two successful art shows and was able to manage some commissioned pieces during the COVID period.

My husband and I have had numerous opportunities to travel abroad. I am interested in the culture and customs of others. This, of course, was an integral part of growing up in an international city such as New Orleans. Although my musical training was in the classics, my date nights always ended in Preservation Hall, where I was hopelessly captivated by the old time jazz greats. Thus, one will also see a lot of musical works among my abstract portraits, animals, and occasional pieces of whimsy. I hope you will enjoy my work. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064319996836
