Even though millions know me as Phillip Chancellor III on The Young and the Restless, I am much more an artist than an actor.
Ten years ago I co-created www.AmericanArtAwards.com to launch other painters, sculptors, photographers and digital artists. Each Spring the AAA board selects the 25 best museums and galleries in America; only one allowed per state.
These 25 highly-acclaimed art institutions gregariously agree to score online art images in late Summer (DEADLINE TO ENTER ART IS JULY 30), awarding 300 winning artists (1st to 6th Place in 50 categories.) When we send the museums and galleries the art images link we also include artists’ contact links, so the g&m’s are also free to inquire about representing the artist if they both agree.
It’s only $25 to submit your best art image (that’s like only $1 per gallery!). Your fee goes to our 3 cash prizes and administrative costs: we email submission verification, send art images and contact info to all 25 galleries and museums, announce results to all 300 winning artists, issue a national press release distributed to over 30,000 galleries, collectors, and artists… we create 50 to 100 articles to promote winning artists, post winning art images and artists’ contact info on our site and produce a MOVIE for YouTube starring all winning art (see last year’s movie below).
You still own your image but for your benefit we place all winning art images on our site so collectors can see it and contact you directly if they want to buy it. No, we do not take a percentage.
It is very fulfilling to be president of AMERICAN ART AWARDS and to head this great organization which awards deserving galleries/museums who in turn award deserving artists!
