Germans Won 23 Prizes In Last Year’s AMERICAN ART AWARDS. How Will They Do In 2019 ?
Artists from across the globe are now entering the 2019 AMERICAN ART AWARDS, arguably the most prestigious international art competition which is scored by 25 of the most renowned American galleries and museums. Some artists win career launches, some triple their prices after winning, some get offers of representation from the galleries and others take away the best PR of their careers and a coveted credit for their bios.
In 2018, artists from 60 countries entered online images in the 50 categories, and artists from 44 countries took prizes. Americans understandably took the most wins because the contest is more publicized in the USA, and therefore many, many more Americans entered. Just because Americans won 185 awards, it should not be interpreted Americans are more talented as artists, in fact, the percentage of submissions to wins is pretty much the same in all countries.
