Painters, photographers, sculptors and digital artists from 62 countries competed in the most prestigious online art call, AMERICAN ART AWARDS, https://www.americanartawards.com/, where America’s 25 best galleries and museums score art in 50 categories. In this column, I’ll reveal the world’s best contemporary artists of 2020 one category at a time.

Winners in this category are from Russia, USA, Canada, Croatia and China.

BIO OF FIRST PLACE WINNER:

Natasha Evdokimova was born in 1991 in the Chuvash Republic, Russia. Interest in painting was from early childhood, but there were no art schools in the district. The artist continued to develop her artistic abilities at the age of 15, when she began professional training.

In 2010, she graduated with honors from College with a degree in design. In 2015, she also graduated with honors from the University with a degree in Fine Arts.

She worked as a jeweler in the company “Sokolov”. Then an artist who painted premium and luxury author’s matryoshka dolls. After that, Natasha Evdokimova became interested in Тemple painting. For 2 years, the artist and her team painted frescoes in the new Church. The work culminated in the composition “The last Judgment”.

The experience gained by the artist allows her to freely handle different materials and techniques. Her favorite material is Italian oil! Styles: avant-garde, romantic realism, modern art. In her paintings, she shows the current time. The peculiarity of her painting is the sincerity, as well as the soulfulness of the characters.

Natasha Evdokimova often takes prizes in international and All-Russian exhibitions and art Weeks. She is also the 1st degree winner of the Russian Art Awards among professionals in the category “new current” in 2019.
