BIO OF FIRST PLACE WINNER:

Danguole Serstinskaja is an award-winning artist from Lithuania. She has been on a lifelong artistic journey, which has included academic, impressionistic and abstract painting. Alongside all of her accomplishments, Danguole has been fighting cancer for 13 years and despite undergoing brain surgery in 2016, she continues to paint and express herself artistically with relentless motivation, hoping that she can serve as inspiration for others to take life’s difficulties head-on and persist on realizing themselves and their visions. www.petdrawings.net

BIO OF FIRST PLACE WINNER:

My name is Kate Lee and I am a 17 year old high school student from New Jersey. I have always enjoyed drawing, painting, and crafting ever since I was young and have aspired to become an artist since then. Although I still have much to learn and am lacking in experience and skill, I hope to someday be able to inspire others and ultimately introduce myself to the world as a designer.

Each May the American Art Awards organization selects the 25 Best Galleries and Museums in America, then in autumn these revered art institutions vote on online art to decide the world’s best contemporary artists.
